HDD 購入

サーバー機の /dev/hdc が S.M.A.R.T で 24 時間以内にお亡くなりになるかも？と言われて早や半年。
新サイトの公開に合わせてサーバーも切り替えるため、ハードディスクを買ってきた。
Western Digital の IDE の 250GB

    # mdadm /dev/md1 --remove /dev/hdc1
    # swapoff /dev/hdc2
    # mdadm /dev/md3 --remove /dev/hdc3
    # mdadm /dev/md4 --remove /dev/hdc4

でディスクをアレイから外し、サーバーをシャットダウンしてからディスクを交換して起動。

fdisk でパーティションを切り直して

    # mdadm /dev/md1 --add /dev/hdc1
    # swapon /dev/hdc2
    # mdadm /dev/md3 --add /dev/hdc3
    # mdadm /dev/md4 --add /dev/hdc4

/proc/mdstat を見てみるとリカバリーに 250 min ほどかかるらしいが、以上のみでハードディスクが交換できると思うと RAID 最高♪と思った。

ついでに RAID6 の /home のみ USB の HDD にバックアップを取っておく。その他のパーティションは RAID1 × 4 なので、大丈夫だろう。

今更ながら SWAP 領域も RAID1 化しておけばよかったと後悔。大事なデータが無くなる訳ではないけど、Kernel Panic になるのかな？

まぁ、(USB で CDブートができれば) ５分くらいでこれはできそうなので、気が向いたらやりましょう。

サーバーいじり

書き込みが超遅い！

ルーターのファームウェアを更新した。 Gentoo Linux から dhcp で接続できなくなったような。。。

Epson PM-A920 on Gentoo Linux

PM-A920 を Gentoo Linux で動かした。

avasys.jp から pipslite-1.0.0.tar.gz をダウンロード。

何か所かコンパイルが通らなかったので適当に修正。 pipslite-1.0.0-gentoo-2007.0.diff

    $ ./configure
    $ make
    $ sudo make install

プリンタの追加は CUPS のページで行った。

テストページの初回印刷に失敗。上２５％くらいが印刷されたところで止まる。

• コンパイルが通らない
• gtk が必須
• サイトが重い

そろそろ Epson のプリンター買うのやめよう。。。

reiserfs 故障

/var/log/ 以下のファイルのいくつか(emerge.log等) が ???? になってしまった。

openoffice を最新版に上げる際にメモリが足りなくなって動かなくなったので電源をブチ切ったのが原因かなぁ。

Gentoo Live CD で起動し、

    # reiserfsck /dev/hdan
    # reiserfsck /dev/hdan --rebuild-tree

で直った。

サーバー側のエラーメッセージ

mounted: authenticated mount request from 192.168.0.13:849 for /home (/home)

サーバー側の portmap を再起動することで解決した。
